      Analysis reports illustrate the details of the analysis for each different alternative. They are in the form of either tabular reports or stacked bar charts.

      When viewing a report, if an entire column displays all zeroes, then the column and its header do not appear in the report. Also, whenever a report is too wide to fit on the page in Portrait mode, it will automatically rotate to be displayed in landscape mode.

      You can customize any analysis report by loading it up in the Report Designer, making changes, and then saving it with a different name.

      The Analysis Reports can be customized in many ways on the Report Options window. One that is particularly useful is checking the Total Columns on Reports check box. That will cause columns to be totaled.

      Remember that results can be displayed in Inflation Adjusted Values or Actual Dollars, which can be toggled using the F8 button.

      Available Analysis Reports are:

      • Accounts Ending Value: This analysis shows the total (pre-tax) value in all accounts at the end of each year. This includes the Retirement Plan, Roth 401(k), Roth IRA, and Other Assets.
      • Distributions Breakdown: The distributions breakdown helps you see what is happening to the money that is distributed form the retirement funds each year.
      • Distributions Summary: This analysis shows the total distributions made from Retirement Plan, Roth IRA and Roth 401(k) as well as the income tax charged on the Retirement Plan Distribution.
      • Donee Exclusion Gifting Analysis: This report shows how much is being paid from each fund to make the gifts. It also keeps a running total of what those gifts are worth to the heirs.
      • Estate Analysis: The Estate Analysis Report illustrates the calculation of the Net After Tax Assets. It assumes that both the owner and spouse have both died by the end of each year and that retirement plans are liquidated at that time.
      • Estate Analysis including Stretch: The Estate Analysis Report illustrates the calculation of the Net After Tax Assets. It assumes that both the owner and spouse have both died by the end of each year, but also includes the value projected distributions to heirs.
      • Income Taxation: Displays the amounts being used to calculate the projected income tax on the retirement plan distributions and social security.
      • Insurance Analysis: This report illustrates the effect of 2nd-to-die life insurance on the analysis. It includes both insurance premiums and insurance proceeds.
      • Life Expectancies: This report shows all the different life expectancies calculated for each year.
      • Minimum Distributions: This report shows the calculation of Required Minimum Distributions for each year from the Retirement Plan, Roth IRA, and Roth 401(k). In years where there are multiple heirs, the total Required Minimum Distribution is shown with no Life Exp value.
      • Other Assets Analysis: The Other Assets analysis shows you all the activity (distributions, contributions, and growth) that effects the Other Assets in each year.
      • Other Assets Growth Analysis: This report shows how the growth of the Other Assets is taxed in each year.
      • Retirement Accounts Distributions to Heirs: This report shows the distributions to each heir from the Retirement Accounts. The distributions begin after the fund has been split among multiple heirs at the owner’s death.
      • Retirement Plan Analysis: The Retirement Plan Analysis shows you all the activity (distributions, contributions, and growth) that effects the Retirement Plan in each year.
      • Retirement Plan Distributions to Heirs: This report shows the distributions to each heir from the Retirement Plan. The distributions begin after the plan has been split among multiple heirs at the owner’s death.
      • Roth 401(k) Analysis: The Roth 401(k) analysis shows you all the activity (distributions, contributions, and growth) that effects the Roth 401(k) each year.
      • Roth 401(k) Distributions to Heirs: This report shows the distributions to each heir from the Roth 401(k). The distributions begin after the plan has been split among multiple heirs at the owner’s death
      • Roth IRA Analysis: The Roth IRA analysis shows you all the activity (distributions, contributions, and conversions) that effects the Roth IRA each year.
      • Roth IRA Distributions to Heirs: This report shows the distributions to each heir from the Roth IRA. The distributions begin after the IRA has been split among multiple heirs at the owner’s death.
      • Roth IRA Taxes and Penalties: This report shows the incomes taxes generated by Roth IRA conversions and by the distribution of earnings within the first five years of the Roth IRA being established.
      • Social Security Analysis: This report shows the social security benefits, including the taxable portion and the income taxes on them.
      • Summary Report: The summary report provides you with an overview of the analysis. Use this report to get a quick view of how the money is moving between funds.
      • Taxable Amount of Retirement Plan: The Taxable Amount of Retirement Plan report shows how the federal estate tax deduction is calculated. This deduction is used for performing the IRD calculation.
      • Taxable Estate Analysis: This analysis shows how the Taxable Estate is calculated each year.
      • Taxes at Death: This report shows the total tax which would be caused by the second death of the owner and spouse. It also illustrates how this tax is paid from the available assets.
      • Asset Analysis: This graph illustrates the balance of the assets through the years.
      • Distributions Breakdown Graph: Illustration of distributions taken from the Retirement Plan and the Roth IRA. This bar graph shows how each distribution is spent.
      • Distributions Graph: This graph shows the amount of money taken out of the Retirement Plan, Roth IRA, and Roth 401(k) in each year.
      • Estate Analysis Graph: This graph illustrates the breakdown of the Net After Tax Assets value. It shows how the funds are consumed by estate and income taxes.
      • Optimum Percentage to Convert: This graph shows the calculation of the optimum amount to convert if you’re doing a single conversion in the first year of the analysis.
